Skin Needling: The Answer to Skin Perfection?

Skin needling can treat any skin type, and treat an array of skin concerns such as ageing, wrinkles, scars, acne, enlarged pores, stretch marks, hyper & hypo pigmentation, rosacea, telangiectasia, milia, keratosis pilaris.

The Dermapen 3 is an automated skin needling device that produces outstanding results. The oscilating stamp-like pen harmoniously vibrates and glides over the skin, producing 1300 micro-channels into the skin per second, to provide efficient control and comfort. This also enables treatments to be quicker and downtime to be shortened. Skin Needling stimulates angiogenesis (formation of new blood vessels) and the Dermapen is non-thermolytic, meaning it does not break down molecules, and it is non-ablative, eliminating the risk of heat base and other injuries.

Needle depth is adjustable according to the skin condition being treated. Because of this speed and comfort, patients can forgo topical anaesthetic. A stamp-like pen needling system compared to previous ‘roller’ needling devices allows vertical needle entry and no needle bend risk making it easier on the skin – it also means it is perfect to use on small or curved areas.

Treatment periods

Rejuvenation: 4-6 treatments, 4 weeks apart
Acne scarring: 6 treatments, 6 weeks apart
Stretch marks: 4-8 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart

Typically, you will see results after the first treatment. Lasting and more significant results will occur after 4 to 6 treatments (spaced 4-6 weeks apart). Your skin will continue to improve over the next 6-12 months after a course of treatments and when combined with the recommended post treatment care.
