Who is the treatment for?
Skin Needling is a skin rejuvenation treatment suitable for all skin types. It doesn’t use any form of heat, so it’s a great anti-ageing and resurfacing option for darker skin types. This treatment is ideal for individuals with skin concerns including ageing, fine lines, collagen induction, pigmentation, scars, stretch marks, enlarged pores, and rosacea.
How does it feel?
Everyone’s pain threshold is different. Most people feel a mild scratching sensation, with minimal discomfort. After the treatment the skin may feel warm for a few hours, like a mild sunburn. The Dermapen uses ultra-thin needles, which further reduces any pain associated with the procedure.
Is there downtime?
Individuals may experience facial redness for 12-48 hours after the treatment. Most people can return to normal daily activities immediately after the treatment. Some dryness to the skin can be experienced over the following 1-2 weeks post treatment.
When will I see a result?
We recommend an initial series of 3-5 treatments spaced 4- 6 weeks apart, depending on your main concerns. Once you have completed a treatment course, we recommend one session approximately every 6 months depending on your concerns to maintain results.
